Job Opening:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>Project Officer<\/p>\n \u0eaa\u0eb0\u0e96\u0eb2\u0e99\u0e97\u0eb5\u0ec8:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>Vientiane Capital with frequent travel to project sites<\/p>\n Reports to:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>GDA Management Team<\/p>\n Organization:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>The Gender Development Association (GDA) is a non-profit organization that has been at the forefront of promoting gender rights in Laos since 1991. GDA\u2019s mission is to empower women, men, adolescent girls, and children, fostering gender equity through collective action, knowledge-sharing, and the elimination of gender-based violence and discrimination. GDA places a strong focus on the rights of vulnerable groups, particularly women in rural communities throughout Laos. We also collaborate with a network of national and international partners.<\/p>\n Job Purpose:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>The Project Officer closely collaborates with the team to ensure the efficient implementation of projects and the timely delivery of GDA\u2019s activities and interventions. The officer coordinates with all project stakeholders and liaises with relevant government agencies at the district, provincial, and community levels, as well as the national level when necessary. They will also work in close partnership with local government counterparts to ensure the successful achievement of project outcomes.<\/p>\n Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Conduct and facilitate gender training in line with the project\u2019s action plan.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collaborate with the Women\u2019s Parliamentarian Caucus, Provincial People\u2019s Assembly, and other government partners.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Collaborate with organizations such as Lao Women\u2019s Union, Sub-CAW, INGOs, NPAs, etc.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of projects to meet donor requirements.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Assist in preparing project progress and final reports as required by donors and the Director.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Attend meetings and events as required.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Engage in other tasks as needed.<\/p>\n Skills and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Hold a diploma degree or equivalent in law, community development, or related areas.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional working experience in the field of study or related fields, including community-level experience.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Previous experience working with INGOs or NPAs, and experience in teamwork, remote, and isolated communities, among other areas.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Demonstrated understanding of the gender context in Laos.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proven ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, communities, and ethnic groups.<\/p>\n \u2013\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Proficiency in the English language, both written and oral.<\/p>\n How to Apply:<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n Submit your complete application with the heading \u201cJob Application,\u201d including:<\/p>\n by sending it to the email address: hr@gdalaos.org no later than 4PM on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023.
