This leads to more inclusive development, better governance and people\u2019s rights being represented.\u00a0 Cord is looking for people who are passionate about seeing positive change in our world and want to join a small and committed team.<\/p>\n<p>Cord has a presence in Laos since 2011. Cord Laos is a multi-disciplinary team of technical national and international experts that deliver initiatives to develop the capacity of communities, civil society and government. Cord works in partnership with a range of stakeholders and has a multi-donor multi-partner programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Intern Title<\/strong><br \/>\nCommunication Assistant Intern<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location<\/strong><br \/>\nCord Laos office, Vientiane Lao PDR<\/p>\n<p><strong>Duration<\/strong><br \/>\nPart-time (2 to 3 days a week) from June to December 2024 (renewable)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Start Date<\/strong><br \/>\nASAP June 2024 the latest<\/p>\n<p><strong>Condition<\/strong><br \/>\nInternship \u2013 daily or monthly allowance provided<\/p>\n<p><strong>Closing date for application<\/strong><br \/>\n28th May 2024<\/p>\n<p><strong>What we offer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We offer the selected candidate the opportunity to join us in a friendly and multi-cultural learning environment. We will provide the selected candidate with opportunities for self-development and on-the-job coaching and mentoring to help him\/her acquire new skills and competencies.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the internship, Cord will also issue a letter of reference.<\/p>\n<p>Note this is a paid internship and applicants are requested to use their own computer.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requested background: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Student or recently graduated students in Communication or relevant field of study<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing or contributing to an organization social media account<\/li>\n<li>Some experience in producing media content (VDO, photos, leaflets, etc.) and using digital technologies (e.g. graphic design software, editing software, etc.)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1. Video Production and Photography Support:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0Assist in producing video content and capture high-quality photographs for project activities.<\/li>\n<li>Aid in the editing of videos and photographs to ensure professional presentation and consistency with project goals.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2. Communication Material Development:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contribute to the design and development of communication materials, including brochures, posters, banners, and other promotional items.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all communication materials are visually appealing and effectively convey project messages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 4. Online Tools and Content Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 \u00a0Assist in maintaining and updating online tools and platforms to ensure current and accurate content.<\/li>\n<li>Support the creation and posting of news articles and updates related to project activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 5. Media and Contact Database Management:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 Update and manage the database of media contacts and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring records are accurate and up-to-date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 6. Data Gathering and Analysis:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0 Support data collection and analysis activities to inform communication strategies and measure the impact of communication efforts.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 7. Deliverable Monitoring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Assist in tracking and ensuring the timely delivery of communication activities and materials.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Monitor partners to ensure proper use and adherence to communication tools and materials.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key Competencies, attitudes, and values:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0Computer skills (ability to use Graphic design program ie Adobe, Canva, VDO editing software Adobe Premier Pro, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews effectively, capturing essential information with accuracy and clarity.<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in detailed note-taking, ensuring comprehensive and precise documentation of key information.<\/li>\n<li>Video and Photography Skills.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Knowledge of relevant social media platforms (Flickr, Facebook, YouTube, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Good writing skills in Lao.
