CHIAs is currently the main Sub-Recipient for the Integrated People-Centred \u00a0Health System Strengthening Model (IPC-HSSM) project, funded by L\u2019Initiative, Expertise France \u00a0(EF) and implemented through the Lao Ministry of Health&#8217;s Department of Communicable Disease \u00a0Control (DCDC). This project aims to eliminate malaria, HIV, and tuberculosis in Bokeo Province, Lao \u00a0PDR, as part of the country&#8217;s commitment to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The \u00a0project&#8217;s overarching goal is to strengthen Lao PDR&#8217;s health system by transitioning to a sustainable \u00a0model through the promotion of an integrated, people-centred approach. This initiative aligns with the \u00a0national strategy to improve healthcare accessibility, quality, and outcomes for all citizens, particularly \u00a0those in vulnerable communities.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Position Overview:\u00a0\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>By focusing on these tasks, the Field Assistant will significantly contribute to the project&#8217;s goal of\u00a0 strengthening the health system in Lao PDR and improving healthcare accessibility, quality, and\u00a0 outcomes for all citizens, particularly in vulnerable communities within Bokeo Province. The main\u00a0 responsibilities of this position include supporting community outreach supporters, peer counselors,\u00a0 and village health volunteers in implementing activities related to their plans. This involves following\u00a0 up on the quality of their work to ensure that target beneficiaries are satisfied with the services provided\u00a0 by community providers. Additionally, the Field Assistant will support data collection and ensure that\u00a0 all established indicators are entered into the DHIS2 system on time, as well as assist the provincial\u00a0 coordinator with assigned tasks.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><b>Responsibilities:<\/b><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b><i> Community Outreach Support: <\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211; Assist in organizing and participating in community meetings \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Support distributes informational materials in local languages\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Coordinate with village leaders to ensure maximum participation \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Support the adaptation of communication strategies to local customs and beliefs\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol start=\"2\">\n<li><b><i> Health Screening Assistance: <\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211; Set up mobile ACF screening in remote areas and HIV testing for key vulnerable populations &#8211; Guide participants through the screening process\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Ensure proper handling and labeling of samples<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b><i> Treatment Adherence Support: <\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211; Maintain a patient database in DHIS2\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Conduct follow-up visits to ensure treatment adherence\\\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Provide reminders and support to patients via phone or in-person visits\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Implement the trio strategy for people affected by TB, HIV, and Malaria\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b><i> Local Health Facility Coordination: <\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211; Liaise between community members and health centers \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Schedule appointments for further testing or treatment\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Maintain accurate records of referrals and treatments \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Distribute preventive tools (e.g., insecticide-treated bed nets, condoms, TB preventive \u00a0therapy)\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Educate on proper use of preventive tools\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol start=\"5\">\n<li><b><i> Data Management and Reporting: <\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211; Gather data on disease prevalence, treatment outcomes, and community engagement &#8211; Enter data into the project&#8217;s DHIS2 reporting system at district and provincial levels \u00a0&#8211; Prepare regular reports for the provincial coordinator \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Assist in conducting baseline surveys to assess intervention impacts\u00a0<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li><b><i> Health Education and Capacity Building:<\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211; Organize and lead group discussions on disease prevention and health promotion \u00a0&#8211; Address myths and misconceptions about diseases and treatments \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Attend training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to HIV, TB, and Malaria \u00a0&#8211; Share information with Village Health Volunteers\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; Monitoring and Evaluation Support: \u00a0<\/p>\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li><b><i> Gather feedback from community members on health services <\/i><\/b><b><i><\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&#8211;
