    This project, a collaboration between UNICEF and Zero Waste Laos (ZWL), aims to enhance\u00a0 climate and environmental resilience in Lao PDR, focusing on schools and communities in Luang\u00a0 Prabang (LPB) and Pakse. It leverages UNICEF’s Climate & Environment strategy, emphasizing\u00a0 data-driven programming, youth empowerment, and mainstreaming climate resilience in social\u00a0 services. Key initiatives include installing air quality monitors, establishing school gardens and\u00a0 nurseries, improving waste management through recycling centers, and exploring solar PV\u00a0 systems for schools. The project prioritizes building “Green Skills” among youth, empowering\u00a0 them as agents of change. It builds on existing Disaster Risk Reduction\/Management (DRR\/M)\u00a0 support to the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and addresses climate-related challenges\u00a0 like air pollution, heat waves, and flooding.<\/p>\n

      • Provide technical support for project implementation, ensuring quality and adherence to\u00a0 project goals.<\/li>\n
      • Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets.<\/li>\n
      • Provide technical support and guidance to project staff and partners.<\/li>\n
      • Maintain transparent and accountable use of project resources.<\/li>\n
      • Prepare and submit timely and accurate project reports.<\/li>\n
      • Oversee project activities and ensure effective coordination with stakeholders. 8. Role and Responsibilities:\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
      • Technical Support:\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        o Provide technical guidance and support to project activities, including air quality\u00a0 monitoring, school gardens, waste management, and solar PV implementation. o Assist in the development and implementation of training programs and workshops.<\/p>\n

        o Monitor project progress and identify technical challenges, proposing solutions. o Coordinate with technical experts and partners to ensure effective implementation. \u2022 Budgeting:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

        o Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets.<\/p>\n

        o Prepare budget variance analyses and provide recommendations for corrective\u00a0 action.<\/p>\n

        o Ensure that all budgeting is accurate and timely.<\/p>\n

            o Oversee project activities to ensure they are implemented according to plan and\u00a0 within budget.<\/p>\n

            o Coordinate with stakeholders, including government agencies, schools,\u00a0 communities, and partners.<\/p>\n

            o Facilitate communication and information sharing among project team members\u00a0 and stakeholders.<\/p>\n

              o Maintain project files, support procurement, and assist with technical and budgeting\u00a0 inquiries.<\/p>\n

              1. Qualifications and Experience:\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                • Education: <\/b>Bachelor’s in environmental science, development studies, or a related field. \u2022 Experience: <\/b>3+ years in project management, including budgeting, technical support, and\u00a0 reporting (non-profit\/development preferred).<\/li>\n
                • \u0e97\u0eb1\u0e81\u0eaa\u0eb0: <\/b>Strong budgeting, analytical, technical, and organizational skills; proficiency in\u00a0 Microsoft Excel; understanding of environmental issues; excellent communication and\u00a0 coordination skills; fluency in local language and working English.<\/li>\n
