    This project, a collaboration between UNICEF and Zero Waste Laos (ZWL), aims to enhance\u00a0 climate and environmental resilience in Lao PDR, focusing on schools and communities in Luang\u00a0 Prabang (LPB) and Pakse. It leverages UNICEF’s Climate & Environment strategy, emphasizing\u00a0 data-driven programming, youth empowerment, and mainstreaming climate resilience in social\u00a0 services. Key initiatives include installing air quality monitors, establishing school gardens and\u00a0 nurseries, improving waste management through recycling centers, and exploring solar PV\u00a0 systems for schools. The project prioritizes building “Green Skills” among youth, empowering\u00a0 them as agents of change. It builds on existing Disaster Risk Reduction\/Management (DRR\/M)\u00a0 support to the Ministry of Education and Sports (MoES) and addresses climate-related challenges\u00a0 like air pollution, heat waves, and flooding.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      • Assist in the monitoring of project budgets and expenditures at the field level. \u2022 Provide direct technical support and guidance to local stakeholders and beneficiaries. \u2022 Maintain accurate records and contribute to the preparation of project reports. \u2022 Coordinate project activities with local stakeholders and ensure effective communication.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            o Oversee the installation and maintenance of air quality monitors, school gardens,\u00a0 waste management systems, and solar PV systems at the field level.<\/p>\n

            o Ensure quality control and timely delivery of project outputs in the designated\u00a0 region.\u00a0<\/p>\n

                o Provide direct technical support and guidance to local stakeholders, including\u00a0 schools, communities, and government agencies.\u00a0<\/p>\n

                o Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices dissemination at the local level. \u2022 Reporting and Documentation:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n

                o Collect and compile data for project reports, including activity reports, monitoring\u00a0 reports, and beneficiary data.\u00a0<\/p>\n

                  1. Qualifications and Experience:\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    • Education: <\/b>Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, development studies, or a related\u00a0 field.\u00a0<\/li>\n
                    • Experience: <\/b>3+ years of experience in project implementation, community mobilization,\u00a0 and technical support (non-profit\/development preferred).\u00a0<\/li>\n
                    • \u0e97\u0eb1\u0e81\u0eaa\u0eb0: <\/b>Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills; proficiency in data\u00a0 collection and analysis; understanding of environmental issues and community\u00a0 development; ability to work independently and as part of a team; fluency in local\u00a0 language and working English.\u00a0<\/li>\n
