Between May 3-4, 2024, the Lao CSO Coordination Committee (LCCC) held its annual meeting of Lao Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and a pre-meeting for the CSOs & Government of Lao (GoL) Annual Meeting 2022-2023 in Sangthong District, Vientiane. It was chaired by Dr. Chansy Phimphachanh, Chair of the LCCC.
The meeting had 80 participants from associations, foundations, and CSOs. The purposes of the meeting were:
- To report the results of the program implementation by the Secretariat and the Coordinating Committee of Lao CSOs for the period of 2022-2023.
- To discuss the collection of information and create a report on the success of Lao CSOs in contributing to the national socio-economic development plan for the period of 2022-2023.
- To discuss contributions to the 2022-2023 Ministry of Home Affairs meeting between CSOs & GoL Annual, which will be held on May 10, 2024.
- To discuss future plans regarding the work of the coordinating committee and the secretariat, such as communication efforts through channels like the website, Facebook page, member information, etc.
