Finance Assistant

Job Description

Position Title: Finance Assistant

Contract Period: 1 year (with possibility of extension)
Location: Women Assistance and Counseling Office (WACO)

Organization Background
The Association for the Development of Women and Legal Education (ADWLE) is a non-profit social organization established in 2012 by the Ministry of Home Affairs. ADWLE aims to promote gender equality, women’s rights, the elimination of violence against women and children, anti-human trafficking, and safe migration. It ensures women’s access to justice in Lao PDR through free legal consultation and assistance services for women and children.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in procuring office supplies.
  • Track and record office equipment usage and manage administrative tasks (e.g., water and electricity payments).
  • Monitor and manage WACO assets.
  • Prepare activity and budget plans, requests, and expense clearances for activities and cases.
  • Coordinate with target villages and paralegals for community-based activities.
  • Attend ADWLE meetings, training sessions, and external events as needed.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Accountant and Senior Financial Officer.

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in social development.
  • Ability to work under pressure, detail-oriented, punctual, and quick to learn.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Lao.
