🌍 Outcomes Accelerator – Call for Proposals (Cohort 4: Forests and Nature)

Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in Lao PDR are eligible to apply for the Outcomes Accelerator: Cohort 4 – Forests and Nature Call for Proposals.

About the Outcomes Accelerator

The Outcomes Accelerator is a catalytic platform designed to accelerate the testing, scaling, and mainstreaming of Outcomes-Based Financing (OBF) approaches to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It provides flexible funding, technical expertise, and networking opportunities to support innovative OBF projects.

Founding members include SECO, FCDO, and UBS Optimus Foundation, with Levoca LLC serving as the Secretariat.

Scope and Priorities

This call focuses on Forests and Nature. Forests are critical for climate stability, biodiversity, food security, and livelihoods. The Accelerator seeks proposals that use OBF mechanisms to:

• Halt deforestation and restore degraded landscapes

• Promote sustainable land use and regenerative agriculture

• Protect biodiversity and ecological corridors

• Develop sustainable supply chains (deforestation-free)

• Support eco-tourism linked to conservation

• Enhance coastal and forest-water ecosystems (e.g., mangroves)

Priority geographies include the Amazon Basin, Congo Basin, Indonesia, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea, but high-impact proposals from other critical forest ecosystems – including Lao PDR – are welcome and eligible.

Who Can Apply?

Eligible applicants include:

• Outcome funders (multilateral/bilateral donors, philanthropy, corporates, governments)

• Service delivery organizations (non-profits, social enterprises, companies)

• Market support providers (deal developers, intermediaries, research orgs, advisors)

• Impact investors (funds, DFIs, foundations, institutions)

CSOs in Lao PDR can apply as individual organizations or as part of a consortium.

Funding Opportunities

The Accelerator offers different funding levels depending on project stage:

• Scoping Study: up to $60k–100k

• Early-Stage Design: up to $300k

• Late-Stage Design: up to $200k

• Project Scale-Up: up to $200k

Application Process and Timeline

1. Expression of Interest (EOI): September 17 – October 31, 2025

2. Full Proposal (invite only): December 2025 – January 2026

3. Due Diligence & Contracting: March – May 2026
