1. Bringing together forestry experts, experienced people, and people who love forests to share knowledge and experiences, create unity, help each other within the membership and society, ensuring legitimacy under the Lao PDR laws.
2. Mobilize material and financial assistance from domestic and foreign parties to contribute to the development of the forestry sector and mitigate climate change.
3. Providing technical advice on forestry and climate change to the forestry sector and other related sectors.
4. Organize training, seminars, and meetings on various topics related to the forestry sector and climate change at the central and local levels.
5. Organize education and research on forest resources and climate change.
6. Disseminate government policies related to sustainable forest management and climate change mitigation.
7. Implement tree planting activities, forest restoration, assessment of forest resource condition, forest resource management and forest conservation, aquatic animals and water catchments.
8. Organize activities to promote the creation of people’s tree planting groups and the use of forest resources to be effective and efficient.
9. Monitor and evaluate the implementation of projects related to forestry and climate change.
