Today, the Lao Civil Society Coordination Committee (LCCC) and a coalition of Lao CSOs working on anti-human trafficking warmly welcomed Mr. Thorsten Schäfer-Gümbel, Chair of the GIZ Management Board, and the GIZ team (Global, Regional, and Country missions) to our office.
Representatives from key organizations including Sangsavang, APL+, PFHA, ADWLE, CHIAs, NCA, TLK, and Survivor Foundation Laos joined the dialogue.
The agenda focused on:

  • Sharing LCCC's role in national development.
  • Discussing best practices and field experiences in combating human trafficking.
  • Identifying critical challenges and gaps in the current system.

We advocated strongly for increased technical support and sustainable funding to empower Civil Society to protect vulnerable groups effectively. Together, we can build a stronger safety net.
