January 24, 2025 – LCCC Participates in Bi-Annual Meeting

The Lao Civil Society Organizations Coordination Committee (LCCC) participated in a bi-annual meeting held at the Ministry of Home Affairs in Vientiane Capital to assess the progress of activities over the last six months of 2024. The meeting took place in the fourth-floor conference room.

The session was co-chaired by Mr. Kouyang Chuepor, Deputy Director General of the Public Administration Development Department, and Dr. Chansy Phimphachanh, Chair of the Lao Civil Society Organizations Coordination Committee. Participants included technical staff from relevant departments, donor representatives, and representatives from seven civil society organization sectors.
The meeting focused on:

  • Reviewing LCCC’s activities and achievements over the past fiscal year.
  • Discussing future action plans for 2025.
  • Finalizing arrangements for the 2024 Annual Meeting.

During the session, participants reviewed reports detailing the Committee's organizational progress and engaged in open discussions. The active participation and dialogue underscored the crucial role of collaboration between civil society organizations and the government in strengthening CSO efforts in Laos.

This meeting was supported by the Citizen Engagement for Good Governance, Accountability and the Rule of Law (CEGGA II)
