STRATEGIC FORESIGHT WORKSHOP THIS NOVEMBER

Description

STRATEGIC FORESIGHT WORKSHOP THIS NOVEMBER (More info here and register here)

Foresight is now one of the most important leadership skills of the 21st century and is essential for identifying challenges, solutions, and trends in our rapidly changing sector. For anyone working in strategy, leadership, organisational change and transformation, efficiency and effectiveness, impact, policy development, programme design and implementation, funding, advocacy, and communications, this workshop delivers practical tools to use on-the-job that are relevant for every level of staff or sectoral focus.

We will build lasting connections with a global cohort of humanitarians, development workers, and social and environmental justice leaders and learn from some of the foremost futurists in the world, including:

  • Sohail Inayatullah (UNESCO chair for Futures)
  • Katindi Sivi (African futures)
  • Ben Holt (Director of foresight at IFRC)
  • And more!

Through an interactive curriculum that includes theory, practice, discussion, and case studies, each session teaches a different tool through a lens that is designed to help participants critically address systemic issues and apply power-shifting, decolonial models that empower those most affected.

The workshop is heavily subsidized by us, but we also have a financial assistance program to support local grassroots activists and CBOs to access the same trainings. Anyone interested can find more details in the links or contact me directly: mattkletzing@unitededge.net. If there are any inclusion needs or concerns, please also let us know.

Alumni have reported that this workshop shifts your mindset from reactive to innovative action, from linear to multi-potential outcomes, from conventional to emergent thinking, and from present-focused to a truly intergenerational take on justice.

Please join us, especially if you don’t have this essential skill set in your organisation, team, project, or personal CV!
