Background:
The IRI is a nonprofit organization focused on advancing democracy worldwide. They are hosting a series of seven events over the next year in Vientiane for Lao non-profit associations. The events will involve training on various topics, and IRI is seeking a company to provide simultaneous interpretation services for these events.
Period of Performance:
Approximately one year, from September 2024 to September 2025.
Contractor Responsibilities:

• Provide in-person and Zoom simultaneous interpretation services (English/Lao).
• Provide translation services for documents (PowerPoints, Word, etc.).
• Provide in-person interpretation equipment upon request.

Submission Guidelines:

• Applications should not exceed 4 pages, using 12-point Times New Roman font.
• Include details such as whether the application is for an individual or organization, contact information, agreement with terms, and references.
• Pricing should be presented in USD as a firm-fixed Unit Price, with details on translation and interpretation costs, and whether VAT applies.

Eligibility:

• Professional fluency in English and Lao.
• At least three years of experience in translation work.
• Ability to provide translation equipment, including audio headsets.

Evaluation and Award Process:

• IRI will evaluate bids based on technical capabilities, past performance, and price.
• IRI reserves the right to make multiple awards or partial awards.
