Vision
The Lao Association of Midwives is committed to developing the midwifery profession to have quality and ethics, advancing towards regional and international standards, while elevating the status of midwives, maintaining integrity, supporting and promoting interest in practical midwifery work among midwives in Lao PDR, and raising awareness about the important role of midwives for women’s health.

Main Goal
1. Improve the capacity and standards of midwifery practice for quality services.
2. Develop a quality midwifery service system, adhering to the ethics of the profession, to provide comprehensive healthcare for mothers, newborns, children, youth, and reproductive-aged individuals.
3. Build networks for cooperation with other professional organizations, educational institutions, and healthcare facilities, both domestically and internationally.
4. Promote unity among practicing midwives and midwifery students, including organizing various activities to promote the midwifery profession to be accepted by society.
5. Protect the rights and interests of members of the Lao Association of Midwives.
6. Encourage midwifery members to conduct scientific research and utilize scientific research findings in their work practice
