On December 5th, a significant meeting took place in Luang Prabang, bringing together key stakeholders committed to rural development. Participants included:

  • Local Civil Society Organisations (CSOs)
  • Government representatives
  • Community-Based Organizations (CBOs)
  • Lao CSOs Coordination Committee (LCCC)

Key Highlights

The gathering focused on enhancing coordination and addressing challenges in the agriculture and forestry sectors. Dr. Chansy Phimphachanh, Chairperson of LCCC, emphasized the critical need for improved collaboration between CSOs and local authorities.

"CSOs should keep local government partners informed and closely consult with them to assess community needs for their projects."
