During August 26-27, 2024 in Vientiane Capital, the Secretariat of the Lao Civil Society Organizations Coordination Committee and the Sustainable Agriculture & Environment Development Association organized a capacity-building training for Lao CSO leaders on the mechanism of using international tools to monitor SDGs implementation for CSOs (People Scorecard). The event was chaired by Dr. Chansy Phimphachanh, Chair of the Lao Civil Society Organizations Coordination Committee.

The objective was to build the capacity of Lao CSO leaders to better understand the SDGs monitoring mechanism for CSOs using the global People's Scorecard (PSC) tool: conducting the People's Scorecard survey (through a standardized online form) and creating the CSO 'Spotlight' report on SDGs.

This training was supported by Action for Sustainable Development (Action4SD), Helvetas Laos, and received resource facilitation support from Mr. Anselmo Lee from Asia-Pacific for SD from South Korea and Ms. Wanun Permpibul from Climate Watch Thailand.
