On June 20-22, 2023, the CiSAC project organized the "Lao CSOs Learning Exchange Workshop on Capacity Building for Sustainability" in Luang Prabang Province.

The meeting was chaired and moderated by Dr. Chansy Phimphachanh, the President of the  Lao CSOs Coordination Committee (LCCC); Mr. Phonesavanh Sethanaphaixanh, Programme Manager of CSO Programme to the Delegation of the European Union to the Lao PDR; and Ms. Loretta Hoban, the Deputy Country Director of Plan International Laos.

The workshop created an inclusive and participatory environment, utilizing a combination of panel discussions, flip chart presentations, breakout sessions, interactive workshops, and open discussions to delve into topics related to CSOs and sustainability. These topics ranged from organizational assessment and identification of key areas for capacity building, strategic planning to enhance organizational capabilities, fundraising techniques, the sustainability of CSOs, and valuable lessons learned. Other CSO partners joined from Plan International Laos, SUN CSA, GIZ Laos, CARE International in Lao PDR, and CORD to share and learn with the CSOs.

The event wrapped up successfully, serving as a catalyst for networking, collaboration, and the exchange of knowledge. All participants were left feeling inspired and equipped with valuable ideas to enhance the sustainability and influence of CSOs in Laos.
