As the CiSAC project is coming to an end in August 2023, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), including GDA, HJA, SODA, APL+, IWAA, and AMA, who have successfully completed all their project activities, organized the final gathering to reflect on the outcomes of the activities carried out over the past three years. Members of the CiSAC Project Committee, beneficiaries, and government partners were invited to share their views on the project.
The CSOs presented the wide-ranging impacts and valuable lessons they acquired throughout the implementation phase. Government partners in attendance expressed their appreciation for the positive changes brought about by the CiSAC project and recognized the valuable role played by CSOs in preventing and mitigating the risks of COVID-19 and improving community livelihoods. Additionally, the beneficiaries had an opportunity to express their feelings and provide insights from the community level.
All the project implementers emphasized the importance of project handover to ensure a smooth transition and to maintain the long-term impacts of the CiSAC project. Moreover, they encouraged the community to continue the activities beyond the project's conclusion, fostering a sense of ownership and sustainability.
