ໃນປີ 2012 GDG ໄດ້ກາຍເປັນສະມາຄົມບົດບາດຍິງຊາຍ ແລະ ການພັດທະນາ (GDA) ເປັນ NPA ໃນ ສປປ ລາວ ແລະ ໃບອະນຸຍາດດຳເນີນງານທີ່ອອກໃນວັນທີ 12 ມັງກອນ 2021, ສະບັບເລກທີ 06/MoHA. ບົດບາດຂອງຄູ່ຮ່ວມງານ umbrella ສາກົນໃນປະຈຸບັນຂອງພວກເຮົາແມ່ນໄດ້ຮັບການເຕີມເຕັມໂດຍ Oxfam-Novib ນັບຕັ້ງແຕ່ 2008.

GDA Project Officer
Job Opening: Project Officer

Organization: The Gender Development Association (GDA) is a non-profit organization that has been at the forefront of promoting gender rights in Laos since 1991. GDA’s mission is to empower women, men, adolescent girls, and children, fostering gender equity through collective action, knowledge-sharing, and the elimination of gender-based violence and discrimination. GDA places a strong focus on the rights of vulnerable groups, particularly women in rural communities throughout Laos. We also collaborate with a network of national and international partners.
Job Purpose: The Project Officer closely collaborates with the team to ensure the efficient implementation of projects and the timely delivery of GDA’s activities and interventions. The officer coordinates with all project stakeholders and liaises with relevant government agencies at the district, provincial, and community levels, as well as the national level when necessary. They will also work in close partnership with local government counterparts to ensure the successful achievement of project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
– Conduct and facilitate gender training in line with the project’s action plan.
– Collaborate with the Women’s Parliamentarian Caucus, Provincial People’s Assembly, and other government partners.
– Collaborate with organizations such as Lao Women’s Union, Sub-CAW, INGOs, NPAs, etc.
– Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of projects to meet donor requirements.
– Assist in preparing project progress and final reports as required by donors and the Director.
– Attend meetings and events as required.
– Engage in other tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
– Hold a diploma degree or equivalent in law, community development, or related areas.
– Possess a minimum of 2 years of professional working experience in the field of study or related fields, including community-level experience.
– Previous experience working with INGOs or NPAs, and experience in teamwork, remote, and isolated communities, among other areas.
– Demonstrated understanding of the gender context in Laos.
– Proven ability to work as part of a team and build relationships with diverse stakeholders, communities, and ethnic groups.
– Proficiency in the English language, both written and oral.
