The CiSAC-19 project Committee and the European Union in Laos organized a 5-day trip to CSO-targeted communities in Vientiane and Vientiane Province. The trip reviewed the project's progress and met with the people who are benefiting from the project’s success. The visit was also a good chance for CSO partners to showcase their livelihood-strengthening activities, which included (1) ADWLE's initiative to make dishwashing liquid, (2) IWAA's project to produce textile floor mats from locally produced material and by villagers, (3) RRDPA-led mushroom cultivation, and (4) GDA’s training on local food and fruit processing. Each site visit was followed by a discussion and knowledge exchange session that would aid CSOs in carrying out more efficient project operations.
Thanks to the European Union in Laos and the LCCO for organising such an important and meaningful event, and a special appreciation to our hosting CSOs, including IWAA, GDA, RRDPA, PSNUA, HJA, SODA, and ADWLE.
